Budget By The Hour, is an hourly rental car program open to drivers 18 and up. The program is open to all students, faculty, and staff of Kansas University and residents of Lawrence, KS who are 18 years of age and older. This hourly rental program is the first of its kind in Lawrence offering members a convenient and cost-effective transportation option.
For Out-of-State students, especially those who may live across the country, it can be impractical to bring a car to school in Lawrence, Kansas. The Budget By The Hour Program offers the convenience of having a car on campus without the hassle of transporting a vehicle across the country. Members can enjoy the convenience of having a vehicle when they need it without the cost of owning and maintaining it themselves.
The Budget By The Hour vehicles will be parked at the Budget location at 711 West 23rd Street, in the Malls Shopping Center. Vehicles will be available for rental Monday through Friday between 7:30 am and 6:00 pm and between 8:00 am and 12:00 noon on Saturday.

There is a one-time application fee of $20 and an annual membership fee of $50. Budget will waive both the application fee and the annual membership fee on applications submitted before Friday, December 31st, 2010. |
